Hello (Reluctant Gourmet Chef),
Yes, it is very important to boost your subscriber base so that you can engage email marketing to a large pool of potential customers.
Here are my suggestions :
- First off, it is very hard to find your newsletter page link as it is buried at the bottom of most pages. I would suggest you place a clear mention of your newsletter at the top right of your home page - maybe next to the cartoon. Then be sure to have the newsletter link near the top of all the rest of your pages instead of having the link right at the bottom.
- Secondly, offer a free giveaway incentive to your potential newsletter subscribers. Most people are reluctant to give their email address unless there is a solid incentive attached to it.
- And thirdly, give more details about the benefits of signing up for your newsletter. What kind of recipes will they receive? How can the tips you provide help them ? Present an offer they can simply not refuse and you should soon see your subscriber base boost to new levels.
Best Of Luck To You.
PS: I just signed up for your newsletter :) I'm a huge cooking enthusiast too.
